The founder, Amario former Marvel Comics Employee conceived the idea of an art academy to encourage students to develop their art skills. In 2005 the planning commenced for the academy. It was established as a vehicle to provide students quality instruction in proper techniques and design principles to develop the innate abilities and talents within them.
The staff moved into the current site in 2005 and the doors were opened
in winter of 2006 for morning, afternoon and Saturday classes. The
program further provides opportunities for students to participate in
art activities for the public, displaying their art abilities and
completed works. The program strives to promote leadership and integrity
through art activities and instruction.
